At Once Twice | Artists | Deborah Hay | Associated events | Press
At Once Twice is a bold and unusual dance double-bill. International artists Christopher House (Toronto) and Joe Moran (London) perform two distinct adaptations of the same solo, At Once, by iconoclastic American choreographer Deborah Hay. Separated by a generation, by geography and by divergent dance backgrounds, two men come together to offer their individual perspectives on the same complex and compelling choreographic score. At Once Twice comes to the UK this autumn following its critically acclaimed premiere in Toronto with only five UK performances in London and Brighton. A rare opportunity for UK audiences to see the seminal work of Deborah Hay, who reflects, At Once Twice “will provide audiences with an opportunity to consider how we perceive dance; how choreography is transmitted; who dances; how do we see?”
